FOAM SPECS

Foam Set includes: 1 egg-crate lid foam, 1 base pad (.5" thick) and 2 custom cut hand gun base inserts.

Base inserts include: pistol cut-out which can be configured to hold 1 thick pistol or 2 thin pistols and 2 accessory cavities for ammunition, range accessories, etc.

WATERPROOF & AIRTIGHT

The Neoprene perimeter O-Ring seal makes Seahorse Cases completely waterproof and airtight. SE Series cases are guaranteed waterproof to 30 feet under water. SX Series are guaranteed waterproof to 70 feet under water. Our cases are subjected to a 24 hour submersion test in order to meet this requirement.

METAL LATCH LOCKS

You can add either Chromed Steel or Rustproof Plastic keyed tamperproof locks right on your latches. The mechanism for the metal locks is entirely made of chromed steel.

PLASTIC LATCH LOCKS

The assembly for the Plastic locks is molded with ABS resin, one of the toughest materials available. ABS is impervious to temperature extremes and will not become brittle and break in subzero temperatures. These are the best choice to maintain the rustproof properties of our cases.

BUILT-IN PADLOCK HOLES

Each case has 2 padlock holes so you can safely lock up your valuables. They will accept standard padlocks and we leave enough room so you can easily lock and unlock them. The 300 models will also accommodate a nut and bolt approach to locking. A nut shape is molded underneath the padlock holes for one hand installation (See pics on left). This feature is very useful when shipping a case or checking in with an airline to guarantee your case stays shut without having to use a dangling padlock that could snag on conveying equipment.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

SE Series are molded with of Polypropylene resin and our SX Series (Extreme Series) with Rigid ABS. Both versions offer excellent chemical resistance to oils, fuels and solvents.

CRUSHPROOF

Manufact-ured to exceed MIL STD's of 400 Lbs stacking, drop test at 48" and their humidity test of 95% at 120°F. Our cases pass the 100% humidity test (underwater).

RUSTPROOF

Seahorse Cases are entirely made of plastic. There is no metal that can rust and undermine the properties of our cases. Our cases can safely be exposed and submerged in salt water or left in the rain. We do not use metal pins for the hinges, latches and handles. The pins are made of Acetyl resin which offers excellent lubricity and will not be affected by temperature extremes.

AUTO-PURGE VALVE

Our cases are truly airtight. The airtight properties of our cases make it nearly impossible to open them without relieving the interior vacuum that is created when experiencing changes in altitude and temperature. We have a Pressure Relief Purge Valve incorporated under one the latches with its own O-Ring to guarantee a perfect seal. You will never forget to set the valve since it is automatically applied when closing your case. The pressure is relieved as soon as you open the latch. The location of the Purge Valve allows for it to function even when utilizing a waterproof panel kit. This feature is critical when considering the use of these panels for mounting instrumentation.

1720 42" Rifle & Shotgun Case

This case has wheels! Designed for active professionals. Watertight, unbreakable. Structural foam resin shell.

Inside are three foam layers. One in the lid and two in the bottom (a 1" thick piece in the very bottom and another piece that fills up the "middle"). Pelican Cases meet and far exceed the highest standards of industrial, airline, military and commercial applications.

It has transport wheels for better handling. Your equipment can fit into the high density foam of the case for total subjection and protection against impact, vibration or shock. A nameplate (included) can be personalized (engraved at additional cost).
